The Standen Mattress marks your first step into our Artisan Collection - a range defined by meticulous handcraftsmanship and nature-first materials. Hand-crafted in the UK and measuring around 29cm in depth, it balances traditional techniques with advanced, all-natural performance.

At its heart lies a refined 1400-count calico-encased pocket spring system (based on king size), hand-nested and tied for precision responsiveness. Available in Soft, Regular, and Firm tensions, these springs adapt to your weight and movement with pinpoint accuracy, supporting natural spinal alignment and delivering beautifully even support.

Two rows of traditional hand side-stitching reinforce the mattress edges, maximising the usable sleep surface and ensuring long-term shape retention. Every tuft is carefully placed by expert hands to secure the natural layers and enhance durability throughout the mattress’ lifespan.

Above the springs, generous layers of Wool ID® traceable British wool combine with silk, cashmere, and cotton to create a naturally cooling, breathable, and luxuriously soft sleep surface. These fibres wick away moisture, regulate temperature, and contribute to a healthier, more hygienic sleep environment all year round.
